SAN JOSE, Calif. - The No. 8 seed San José State men’s basketball (14-18, 7-13 MW) will play the No. 9 seed Wyoming (12-19, 5-15 MW) in the first round of the Mountain West Tournament on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Mountain West Network and KTRB 860 AM.
- The Spartans are looking to return to the Mountain West Tournament Quarterfinals for the second time in school history and first time since 2023.
- The Spartans closed out the regular season with a 92-68 victory over Fresno State at the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
- The Spartans defeated Wyoming in both their matchups this season, marking the first season sweep over Wyoming in SJSU history.
- The Spartans 82-73 victory over Wyoming (2/22/25) was the first time in history SJSU won at Wyoming.
- The Spartans' 19 conference wins over their last three seasons is the best since 1993-96 when they had 23 conference wins while in the Big West conference.

- Latrell Davis was named HoopsHD's Mountain West Sixth Man of the Year. Davis is the Mountain West's top scorer off the bench at 11.6 points per game.
- The Spartans are 12-1 on the season when they shoot better than their opponent and 10-2 when they out rebound their opponent. They are also 8-0 when scoring 80 points or more.

in 2023 (29 vs. Wyoming & 27 vs. UNLV; 2/22-2/25/25). - Uduje became the first Spartan to score 20+ in five consecutive games since Adrian
Oliver in 2011. - Uduje went 5-5 from three and scored 25 points at USC (11/20/24). Uduje is the only player in the Mountain West to make five three's on 100 percent 3pt. shooting in a game this season.
- Uduje is seventh in the conference in field goal percentage at .495 (min. 5 FGM/G average).
- Davis is averaging 12.8 points per game in conference play which ranks 16th in the Mountain West. Davis' 2.1 threes per game in conference play is tied for fifth in the Mountain West.
- Trailing 70-69 in the closing seconds of regulation vs. New Mexico, Davis collected an offensive rebound and put it up and in off the glass to give the Spartans a one point lead with two seconds left in the game (1/14/25).
- Davis’ 30 points, 11 made field goals and six made threes against Fresno State were all career-highs (2/4/25). Davis scored 17 of his 30 points in overtime without missing a shot.
- Robert Vaihola leads the team in rebounding with 7.3 boards per game which is also good for fourth in the conference. Vaihola's 3.1 offensive rebounds per game also ranks second in the Mountain West.
- Vaihola recorded a career-high seven blocks against Air Force (2/1/25). Seven blocks in a game is the most recorded by any player in the Mountain West this season.
- Vaihola's average of 1.46 blocks per game in conference play is fourth in the Mountain West.
- Vaihola recorded 13 points and a career-high 19 rebounds against Fresno State (3/8/25). Vaihola is the first Spartan to record 19 rebounds since Wil Carter grabbed 20 rebounds against Hawai’i on Jan. 7, 2012.
- Hall leads the Spartans in steals with 38 recorded on the season. Against UNLV (2/25/25), Hall became the first Spartan to record five steals in a game since Omari
Moore in 2021. - Hall recorded a career-high 33 points and 14 made field goals in the Spartans' overtime win vs. Cal Poly (12/14/24). He also notched 11 rebounds, giving him his first double-double of the year.
- Hall is one of two players in the Mountain West to hit 14 field goals in a game this season (Donovan Dent, New Mexico).
- The Spartans’ have recorded 10 double-doubles on the season (three by Vaihola, two by Hall, two by Sadraque NgaNga, two by Uduje and one by Will McClendon).
- Yap scored a career-high 30 points on 11-14 shooting against his former team Fresno State on Senior Day in a 92-68 win (3/8/25).
- Yap scored 22 points and made a career-high six threes against No. 25 Utah State (1/7/25).
- NgaNga recorded 11 points and 11 rebounds vs. UNLV (1/4/25), earning his second double-double of the season despite only playing 18 minutes in the game.
